My creative production revolves around classic figurative painting and self-portraiture, often combined with surreal reflections. My work seeks to explore ideas of nostalgia, loneliness, anxiety, and alienation juxtaposed with fragile beauty, striving to find a balance between beauty and the grotesque. I am constantly working in the fields of painting and photography, frequently combining the two mediums in various ways. During the process of creating my paintings, I begin by taking photographs. I love to experiment with different reflective and mirror-like materials, often using a copper chrome plate that I can bend to distort the faces reflected in it. Details play a significant role in my work; many of my paintings feature tiny, interesting elements such as jewelry, diverse cloth materials, patterns, and hair, which can be seen as personal attributes.
