Description:

Harlequin and Tightrope Walker are a pair of paintings.
The creation of these paintings was a kind of time travel for me, taking me back to ancient Rome, to the time of the gladiators (Circus Maximus), which greatly inspired my visual world, so my current series of portraits evokes this era.
All this is done in the language of 21st-century visual art, where space and time cease to exist, giving way to a new type of encounter with the legacy of the past.
Just as magic and mysticism are present in the world of the circus, I have emphasized this in this pair of paintings as well.

I play with what is not entirely clear: in addition to figurative representation and anatomical elements, I also incorporate conceptual elements, meaning that my paintings are also connected to this artistic movement in their form and omissions.
In addition to the creative intention, I believe that the viewer's own thoughts and playfulness in interpreting the work are at least as important in these works.
